She’s his third seat, so they have a professional relationship, but both are unaware of each other's romantic feelings. She’s kind of a workaholic so he tends to rely on her for a lot of paperwork/admin tasks since there’s so much for him to do alone.
The reason she became a Shinigami was because he saved her years ago while patrolling the Rukongai, so she’s very devoted to him.

Not shy, but reserved. Mainly befriends quiet people who like books & gets along very well with them. Has a tendency to freeze under pressure. Works best when given orders to execute. Not great at giving orders herself. Studious. Methodical. Excellent at learning theory, got good marks in classes at the academy, but is kind of by-the-book when it comes to combat. Overthinks actions. Workaholic who will easily overwork herself.
Likes: collecting books of all kinds, rare or common. Most of her wages go to her library collection. Savory snacks. In an omake she would probably have a secret collection of Hitsugaya merch/calendars that the Women’s Association produce.
Dislikes: unexpected change, not having anything to work on, rice that is too soggy, going outside of the Seireitei
Recently promoted to third seat. Spends a lot of her time in the office helping Hitsugaya with his paperwork. It started when she was injured out on a patrol & given the option of paid leave or light duties in the office. Preferring to still be useful, she gladly took the office duties. When she saw the amount of piled up paperwork (due to Matsumoto's constant neglect of it) she took it upon herself to organize it all & get through it. Hitsugaya greatly appreciated this even though he felt bad about having a low-ranked officer doing so much work, like he was being irresponsible. Since her promotion he feels much better about it though, and they bring each other tea while working in the office.
History: Grew up working in the rice paddies in outer West Rukongai, harvesting rice that got sent off to feed noble families and the Seireitei. Life looked endlessly dull and bleak until one day a Hollow showed up and attacked. In that moment, with the crisp blast of fresh air, there was a snowy haired figure in front of her, his haori billowing slightly, the tenth division insignia instantly burned into her mind. A single massive slash disintegrated the creature, and he glanced back at her. "Oi. You alright?" She managed a dumbfounded nod, and that was the extent of her first meeting with Captain Hitsugaya, but from that point it was like her whole life opened up for her. She left for the Shinigami academy with the sole purpose of joining that man's squad and never looked back.
